• Neither the sender nor the recipient is required to have a bank account.

• The transferred amount is available to the recipient within minutes.

• Cash deposits and withdrawals are usually made in the local currency of the destination country and/or in USD.

  In Hungary, they are carried out in Hungarian Forints, or in USD if the money is sent from the United States,

  as well as when money is sent from Hungary to China or Vietnam.

• Only the sender pays the transfer fee.

• The maximum sending and receiving amount in Hungary at EXC offices is 7,000 USD or the equivalent in Forints.

• In Hungary, Western Union services are available only to individuals over the age of 18.

To send cash, you only need valid identification documents, the amount you wish to transfer, and the transfer fee as specified in the current fee schedule.

To collect the money, the recipient must provide the following:

• Valid identification document; in the case of Hungarian citizens, an address card is also required.

• The sender’s full and accurate name.

• The sending country (for transactions from the USA and Mexico, the sender’s state is also required).

• The 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).

• Knowledge of the transferred amount.

• Do not allow unknown persons to explain how the service works; accept advice only from our staff.

• Never send money as collateral for a transaction involving goods purchased online (vehicles, etc.).

• NEVER disclose any transfer details (one or more) to third parties.

• Do NOT send money to unknown persons.

• Do not send money if an unknown person asks you to transfer it to a fictitious recipient, or in the name of a relative or friend.

Please read the warning at the top of the form and do not send money in the following cases:

• To your grandchild, friend, or family member for an emergency you have no direct knowledge of.

• To someone you have only met online.

• As a deposit or advance payment for a vehicle or electronic goods.

• For promises of overseas job opportunities.

• As a deposit for foreign accommodation or rental fees.

• For claiming lottery or other prize winnings.

• As a fee for granting a loan.

• For repaying credit cards or loans.

• For the purchase of pets or other animals.

• In response to any unsolicited letter promising a large inheritance or prize.

• Do not send money in the name of a relative, acquaintance, or friend who is not physically in the destination country.

Remember that transferred money may be paid out to the recipient within a very short time, and once the money has been paid out, you cannot request a refund from Western Union, even if the transfer was the result of fraud.
